The Calm Before The Storm
Good Morning,
The NE is preparing for a winter storm. In the Philadelphia area at 8:50 am it is starting as rain and by noon it should be ICE! We hate ice because of all our hills and valleys. Oh well deal with it.
We had a great coaching session with Alex Jeffreys last night. A lot of great stuff. We were all instructed to blog about our traffic generating methods.
The main method that I have learned over the past 6 months is Consistency. Find a method of generating traffic you like and then do that everyday. If you like to post on forums do that, write an article and post to ezines do that, post on your social networking sites do that. The bottom line is to do it everyday.
From my coaching with Alex – I have learned to plan yesterday for today. So every night I plan my next day. I prioritize my plan so I make sure I get the most important things done first. There are a few tasks I try to do every day.
- Post to my blog
- Post to my FaceBook page
- Post to my Twitter page
- Post to my Squidoo page
I also try to write at least one article a week. So on Monday I create the draft, Tuesday edit, Wednesday post.
Within all these methods I always include my blog URL and invite the readers to check my blog out.
That’s some of the things I do. Hope this helps.
Have a great day. I will let you all know if we get a huge storm or not.

I am also doing some of the things you are and some others. One of us will win the $1,000 prize on the 1st January a very nice way to start the new year. Over here in N Ireland it has been wet and windy but the weather forecasters will not commit themselves as to the chances of a white Christmas.
I have finally got my blog sorted out after spending hours trying to install Google Analytics and some plugins you can see it here http://www.richardmoloneyblog.com
I wish you the best of luck in the competition and hope that I win it.

Hi Alan,
Cold and grey in the UK!
How’s the traffic plan coming along?!
I have put a post on my blog about traffic tactics that have worked for me so far. One of the best has been Squidoo. I only have one lens on there at present but it has been a high traffic source.
My youtube video has also had a lot of hits and driving traffic to my ppp. I haven’t used twiter to it’s full potential but the tweetmyblog plugin is very effective (details in my post).
Let me know what’s working for you!
All the best
Mark

What a nice clear post. I do stuff every day and I always end up trying to cram it in, I should just plan it in and that would make it easier for me.
You put your point over in a nice non cluttered way; thank you for that!
Best wishes,
Ruth Stewart
