So my honest review of BulletProof Security is that it is a necessary plugin to keep the security of yoru blog safe from hackers and intruders.  I would also suggest backing up your blog everyday or maybe even twice a day if you update often.  I have experience on this one when this site was compromised and I didn’t have a fresh copy of the site and it took me days to get it back.

I plan to have a future post on backing up your blog.

We all want a Reliable, Long-term, Leveraged and Residual Income. Residual income would be the best to have.

This was my goal when I joined my first MLM program.  The reason I decided to look into all this was at age 52, I woke up one morning and realized I had not saved a penny for retirement.  Wow that was hard to admit that but the truth is, I am not the only one in this situation.   So, I need to do something different to insure that my retirement would be enjoyable and not working until I drop.

Most people would be happy just making a little extra spending money per month, but for the people who join MLM’s they want to build an income stream that can last a lifetime.   A Reliable, Long-term, Leveraged, Residual  Income.

Let’s examine this a bit more closely.

Reliable – In the past, the American Dream was to work for a good company your entire career and retire with a comfortable pension.

Unfortunately, today that is just not how things work.  We have all heard it before a company “lays off” the older worker right before his or her retirement would kick in.   Its terrible,  but it happens.

Today people don’t even work at the same company for their entire career and they pray that their pension plan is still in place.

Of the companies in the S&P 500, there were 327 sponsor pension plans.  At the end of 2003, 297 of the 327 plans were underfunded, and the total underfunding amount was $222 billion. – FRBSF (Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco)

Has the situation since 2003 improved?

It is estimated that 97% of people at age 65 do not have enough discretionary income to write a $600 check, and only 3% of Americans are financially secure for retirement!

Whether large or small, “reliable” income after retirement would be an extremely valuable kind of income to have.  In fact “reliable” income would be fantastic whether you are retired or not!

Long-Term – What is long to one person may be short to another.  I got into MLM to help me retire. For me, long-term means 30 years or more. So be careful and remember that most MLM companies that promise long-term leveraged income are not “long-term” at all. They are “out-of-business” a lot of times in 6 months, most within 5 years, almost all within 10 years.

Leverage is important to understand and use. People that understand how to leverage time, money, or both, are the ones to make the most money. For the average person, since we don’t have a lot of money to leverage, all we can do is to leverage time. This leveraging is done by capitalizing on the time and the efforts of other people.  To work with others and profit when I am able to help them profit, well that is the most best and ethical, win/win concept I know of.  Properly designed multi-level compensation plans can do that.

Here’s the $100,000 question, “Can that kind of relationship be established so that it is always win/win?” Not “win/lose” like so many of the MLM structures have ended up?

The answer is of course.

Residual – The concept of residual income is that you can get paid over and over again, for the work that you did one time! The idea is to work smarter.

With residual income you are now able to do something else. It could be to build an even larger business to create more residual income, spend more time with your family, doing charity work or educational work, traveling the world, creating beautiful things, etc., etc., etc.

The key is to find a… Reliable, Long-Term, Leveraged, Residual Income Producing, Network Marketing Opportunity.

Getting Backlinks the Natural Way

The idea behind including backlinks as part of the page rank algorithm is that if a page is good, people will start linking to it. And the more backlinks a page has, the better. But in practice it is not exactly like this. Or at least you cannot always rely on the fact that your contents is good and people will link to you. Yes, if your content is good and relevant you can get a lot of quality backlinks, including from sites with similar topic as yours (and these are the most valuable kind of backlinks, especially if the anchor text contains your keywords) but what you get without efforts could be less than what you need to successfully promote your site.
